Dopis arcibiskupa Josefa ke spuštění projektu Donátor (2.40 MB)
Dear brothers and sisters, dear diocesan members,
Among the important tasks that I have been addressing with my closest collaborators for some time now is ensuring the resources for financing our Archdiocese of Olomouc after 2029, when state contributions for the salaries of church workers will come to an end.
In order to become financially independent, we manage the property that has been returned to us, and we are making new investments funded by financial compensation, which will cease to be paid in 2042. Currently, we find ourselves in a transition period, during which future funding for salaries and the activities of the church is gradually taking shape.
We are aware that the financial resources from property and investments will not completely cover the needs of the diocese. Therefore, we have adopted a method that has proven effective in other dioceses, and we have established the Donator fund, through which you can also contribute to co-financing the salaries of priests and the pastoral work in our diocese.
I am pleased that this new task has been taken up by Fr. Zdeněk Stodůlka, the bishop's vicar for evangelization, who is gradually visiting individual parishes and becoming acquainted with the purpose and functioning of this fund.
I thank you for your openness and support for this project, which I believe will not only bring financial benefits but will also be an expression of gratitude for the service of the church and our priests.
In the community of prayer and with blessings
Mons. Josef Nuzík
Archbishop of Olomouc
