Pope Francis was admitted to the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic on Friday, February 14, 2025, after suffering from bronchitis for several days. His clinical condition gradually worsened, and on Tuesday, February 18, doctors diagnosed him with bilateral pneumonia. After 38 days in the hospital, he eventually returned to his Vatican residence at the Domus Sanctae Marthae to continue his recovery.
